The founder in Diamonds in the Rough shirt among happy, smiling teenage girls at a DITR event

Mentorship Program

During teenage years, girls are going through emotional, physical, and mental changes. Our program explored how to cope with these changes, how to manage their emotions, and to embrace those physical changes. The goal is to help young girls become more comfortable with the transition to womanhood, while developing practical skills that help them thrive in the world today.

Furthermore, some girls deal with various forms of childhood trauma, which they may find hard to discuss. DITR was established as a safe place for girls to come and talk freely.
